B – Responsibilities of the Employer
The duties of the employer are particularly:
• Ensuring protection of his employees regarding occupational health and safety.
• Ensuring, for all workplaces under his responsibility, to meet the requirements of applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws, notably to national requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Reminding to his employees the known and predictable risks that their workplaces present for their health and safety.
• Providing first aid equipment and establish a procedure which permits to employee, who have been subjected to an injure on his workplace, to receive without delay first aid.
• Support with documentary all industrial accidents, occupational diseases and all other situations presenting risks that he knows.
• Ensuring to have, at any time, one occupational health and safety representative by workplace and the required number of first-aiders with the necessary qualifications.
