The Schreyer Award, the most coveted award at the 2011 Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards Gala is presented to the designers of the project with the highest technical merit. This Award is named in honour of former Governor General Rt. Hon. Edward Schreyer, who has strong ties to the engineering profession. There is no doubt that the quality of the team’s work now positions GENIVAR at a gold standard for similar projects. In the words of the jury, the Rehabilitation of the Gaspé Mines has “set a benchmark for future mine decommissioning projects.”
