GENIVAR Income Fund Acquires Doucet & Associés, a Telecommunications and Public Utilities consulting Firm

Montreal, May 5, 2008 – GENIVAR Income Fund (the Fund) announced the acquisition of Doucet & Associés Conseils (Quebec) ltée (Doucet & Associés), an engineering-consulting firm specialising in telecommunications and utilities infrastructure.

Doucet & Associés was founded in 1974 and has offices in Montreal and in Quebec City. The firm has 50 employees and has developed expertise in the field of telecommunications including outside networks, integrated distribution networks, switching and transmission, as well as public utilities infrastructure, including telephony cable networks, cable television, and electric power distribution, as well as IP telephony. 

“GENIVAR has a proven expertise in telecommunication tower design, and this acquisition complements our services. Moreover, the know-how in public utility infrastructure which Doucet & Associés brings, particularly in the area of power distribution, will enhance GENIVAR’s expertise in municipal infrastructure projects. They also allow us to broaden our client base to include cable television, wireless telephony, and traditional telephone companies,” said Pierre Shoiry, President and Chief Executive Officer of GENIVAR Income Fund.
