''Integrated within McGill University’s Facilities Management and Development Department, our team consisted of four managers, two assistant managers and an administrative assistant. We quickly adapted to the University’s many procedures and regulations and maintained an open, cooperative and professional relationship with all stakeholders.''
Louis Boissonneault, Engineer/project manager
McGill hired our management team to oversee some 50 deferred maintenance projects, including replacing fire alarm systems, rebuilding the roofs of historic and heritage buildings, reconstructing service tunnels, upgrading public spaces, replacing the air conditioning/heating systems of occupied buildings, installing new generator sets, carrying out intensive studies of on-campus emergency electrical distribution and making structural repairs to an ambulance entrance in a hospital setting. In addition, GENIVAR helped design a number of new projects (generators, electrical distribution, powerhouse expansion) and oversaw the preparatory studies. Between 2008 and 2011, these approximately 50 projects totalled more than $40 million in construction work.
