Modifying telecommunications towers in accordance with CSA S37-01 standard.
Complying with the permitted antenna rotations in keeping with new microwave needs.
Complying with Hydro-Quebec’s deadlines.
Structural engineering for the digitization of the existing analog microwave link between Lévis/P and Manic/P (15 pylons), including inspections to evaluate deficiencies requiring correction aimed at extending the useful life of structures that are typically over 40 years old. Structural analyses using new antennas, including temporary co-existence with existing antennas and reinforcement design (anchors, guy lines, stabilizers, etc.). Construction plans and estimates for antenna supports, reinforcement of existing pylons, construction of three new self-supporting pylons, dismantling of analog antennas and removal of pylon sections. Coordination was conducted with the other engineering disciplines; technical support was provided to the contractor during construction.
